The views expressed in the comments sections of Obit are the sole responsibility of the author(s) and do not necessarily reflect the views of Obit.

- Comments that include profanity or personal attacks or other inappropriate comments or material will be removed from the site.
- Entries that are unsigned or contain "signatures" by someone other than the actual author will be removed.
- Obit will take steps to block users who violate any of our posting standards, terms of use or privacy policies or any other policies governing this site.
- Obit reserves the right to edit all remarks for content, clarity, and length.
- Users may not reprint lengthy text from their own works or those of others, including news articles, but may provide links to those works. The remarks space is reserved for comments that relate to the topic of the post.
- Comments that are abusive, offensive, contain profane or racist material or violate the terms of service for the site's host provider will be removed and the author(s) banned from future comments.
- Obit will limit remarks from users who:
- Post numerous times a day with the intent of dominating, re-directing or hijacking the thread; or
- Post numerous times a day and insult or calls other commenter's names or repeatedly makes the same point with the objective of annoying other users.
- Name-calling, personal attacks, racist comments or use of profanity by any commenter, whether they are by persons who agree or disagree with the views expressed by Obit will not be tolerated and will result in the deletion of the comment and the banning of the commenter's ISP address, without notice.
- Anonymous posters should identify themselves with the same moniker, so readers know their comments are coming from a single individual. Noncompliance may result in banning.

- Reading and posting comments on Obit constitutes acknowledgment of and agreement to the terms outlined in this remark policy. This comment policy may be revised in part or in full at any time.
- All comments must comply with applicable state and federal laws. Obit has no obligation to monitor, edit, censor, or take responsibility for comments. It may or may not act upon a violation of its comment policy once a suspected violation has been brought to its attention. Therefore, user's remarks are the responsibility of the user and users should ensure that that their comments are lawful and fall within the stated guidelines of Obit.
- Obit is not responsible for injury or liability to any reader or commenter resulting from its own communications or those of users, that may be offensive, misleading, inaccurate, illegal, or otherwise unsuitable in the view of the reader. Readers and remarkers further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Obit from claims resulting from the use of any material appearing on Obit which damages the reader, commenter or any other party.
- Although Obit strives for complete accuracy of all posted material, the material posted by Obit or left in the remarks section may or may not be accurate.
