Arthur Miller was a playwright who wrote some of the best plays of the latter-half of the 20th century. He was also wed to Marilyn Monroe and won a Pulitzer. Miller died on February 10, 2005.

Montesquieu was an Enlightenment political theorist who voiced the concept of the separation of powers for the purposes of a stable and effective government. He gained notoriety through his satire, Persian Letters, a fine example of la belle esprit that mocked Parisian culture from the perspective of a traveling Easterner. Montesquieu died on February 10, 1755.
